Artificial Intelligence meets Physical Activity

Artificial Intelligence meets Physical Activity

This training school integrates cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) with the science of physical activity focused on older adults, offering a unique and impactful approach to movement enablement. The program features a general introduction to AI, and an introduction to AI within the field of Physical Activity, along with specific examples from our colleagues in PhysAgeNet. In addition, the program includes lectures followed by workshops on various topics such as:
  1. Machine Learning and Analysis of Biosignals: Covering activity-related biosignals with rehabilitation examples.
  2. Surface EMG Applications: Assessing exercise and physical activity.
  3. AI in Research Projects: Focusing on AI fundamentals and their application in high-level research.
Participants will also experience practical demonstrations of AI at the NOROM research center. Current research at the Neurorobotics and Neurorehabilitation Lab, Brain Stimulation and Motor Control Lab, Human Neuroimaging fMRI Lab, and Molecular Neuroscience Lab will be presented, and AI-based debates will take place. A social event based on orienteering will be arranged. Next, the Neurorobotics and Neurorehabilitation Lab will discuss navigational learning aspects. The program is designed to be accessible to everyone, regardless of their level of AI expertise, ensuring that all our colleagues can benefit from it.
